I remember the first ever Love Like Us gig. I got ridiculously drunk beforehand and my first realisation of the gig starting was when I said to the bassist "What song are we starting with?" and he replied "We are on song number 5." God know what I had done up to that point!!!
The Bassett gig Tims referring to was stupidly funny because the bassist never used to drink at gigs, and used to get really narked at us for being twatted. This time round, Im stone cold sober and hes shitfaced. As we went on stage he went "I cant remember any of the songs". I looked at him thinking he was messing about but he had a look of complete fear on his face as he also couldnt remember how to stand or move!!
Oh how we laughed.... its always good to wait 11 years to do a gig and then have it fucked before the curtains have even opened (yes, the venue did have curtains across the stage).

He's a Druid now, apparently.

I still wear some jewelry, wear Creepers and such. I look a little more Rockabilly or straight RnR than anything else. <font size="4" face="Arial">I think it's a bit different for the boys as you eventually wind up having to get jobs & do suffer very bad discrimination, even with the shitty jobs. I was temping during The Ex-Boyfriends years & would go to work with eyeliner & stuff. I'd cut my hair by the mid-90s & opted for the Richey Manic / D Gen look but I haven't worn make-up for years. Now I look pretty regular for work but still have a bit of a rock n roll edge. I think it looks better on younger guys & gets harder to pull it off as you get over 30. Personally though, I still consider myself alternative & dress that way but it's toned down a lot. I suspect most of us here are the same...?Quote:

Well, I can still get away with having long black hair - nobody gives much of a shit what you look like when you work in a warehouse. [img]biggrin.gif[/img] I keep the makeup for when I go out though...
